It's Raining It's Pouring

We finally have rain! After weeks of freezing cold temperatures, I am hoping yesterday’s downpour which is meant to continue for the next week or so brings some clouds to keep the temperatures a bit higher around here.

I’d like nothing better than to stay at home today, snuggled up inside reading. However, days with Grace are always so much better when we’ve had a morning outing so we’re going to go for a little wander around the shops to get a thank you gift and a housewarming present.

Paul is out tonight so I’m planning on having some yummy fish and salad for tea (Paul doesn’t eat fish so I try and have it any time he’s not home), watching a bit of TV and catching up on some blogs.

Hope you all have a lovely Friday x

  3. Hi Amanda! I'm sooo enjoying this rain!! And the fact that it's not so cold also. I know what you mean about getting out in the mornings, it certainly makes the afternoons a bit more pleasant!! The same still applies for me too :) Enjoy your quiet night in tonight and I hope you have a great weekend too!

Oh and the kids did their mosaic workshop at a place called Workshed Mosaics on Herdsman Parade, Wembley. I will post a pic of their finished products soon.

  4. What a lovely day you have planned!

Sydney is ghastly today, been raining on and off all morning.

Abi and I are doing indoor things today, like play-dough, colouring in, dancing etc.

  6. I hope you have a lovely relaxing day Amanda. My hubby has been at a conference in Freemantle all week and his late night flight last night was almost postponed because of all the rain. He made it back to the Gold Coast this morning. He doesn't eat seafood either so the kids and I make the most of it when he's away.

  12. Sounds like you have had a lovely day. I have been thinking how winter has been so lovely here - hardly any rain - but we do really need some.

  13. its been raining here in NSW for what seems like FOREVER..... the novelty has well and truly worn off!! I have done so many desperate laps around the shops I've worn a tread! and instead of being all motivated to be homey and crafty I feel lazy and uninspired! Enjoy your night in -- dont forget to wash down your healthy dinner with some Cadbury's choccie!! x
